After having cared for both parents and seeing what happens when plans have not been made in advance, we decided to make our choices now rather than in time of distress. Why wait for a crisis when you actually can solve issues with a clear mind and consideration for all?
Are we ready for this move? The answer is yes. Could we have waited? The answer is yes. But in reality, we were ready to sacrifice another year or two in our beloved home of 51 years. Just think – no more property taxes, no more lawn care or exterior maintenance to our house – and the list goes on. We can lock our apartment and travel anywhere we wish without a care. We can eat anywhere we choose. We simply can enjoy a stress-free life, and we deserve that.
